Pioneer

Masjid Sultan Mizan AKA Masjid Besi Gateway

Assalamualaikum

I have my own reason to write separate posts for different topics. I don't like to write wrong posts because I tend to have second thoughts on things I've written and if I doubt my own writing, I'll delete everything... So it's better like this right?

Now, I want to write about our maknae (read: youngest) course that was added on our faculty (Faculty of Science and Technology) this semester that is Architecture! After Food Biotechnology, Applied Physics, Financial Mathematics, Actuarial Science and Risk Management, Information Security and Assurance and Industrial Chemistry, now it's Architecture. [oh it's actually not a course under FST, they'll have their own faculty. Nice, a pioneer for a new course and faculty source]

Truthfully I was very curious over this course. Well, it's normal for people to be curious on something new right? :) heee There's not much that I know about this course and even thought I visited their booth last Saturday for i-Innova (Islamic Innovation Exhibition) I still can't get enough information, but look at the tools they used and their creations! Daebak! They are the pioneer for their couse and it's their first semester~

From the information I got, they have like 30+ students only and have a subject that worth SIX credits! @___@ I don't know if the information about the subject is true tho.. but still. yeah.

Rain

source

Assalamualaikum~

Somehow it's a sunny day until the afternoon but raining afterwards. This Malay proverb really applied with our situation nowadays.

disangka cerah hingga ke petang, rupanya hujan di tengah hari
(thought it'll be sunny till the evening, but it rains on the afternoon)

See? it's real! (and most Malay proverbs are based on real situations). hehe. Take care guys!

See later~ Wassalam!

Cigarette

source

Assalamualaikum and anneyonghaseyo~

Today I would like to rant about people who smoke, especially the ones who smoke at the restaurant. To be more specific, those fathers who smoke directly in front of their young kids. There are 2 main points - smoking in restaurant and smoking in front of kids.

1) Smoking in the restaurant: for me is generally rude. People come to the restaurant to get something to eat, something to fill the stomach with foods, not the lungs with the smoke filled with poisons and carcinogens. People go to the restaurant to enjoy the food and spend quality time with family or friends, not to be irritated with the sight of a bunch of people smoking and the smell of the cigarette smoke. Should the restaurant provide a smoke-free area (not only provide, just say no smoking at the place, please).

2) Smoking in the front of kids: for me is like killing the children in silence. The secondhand smoke emitted from the cigarette affects bystanders or other people more than the smoker he or herself. Children don't have a good immunity system to fight with the poisonous smoke. I always see families that bring children especially the really young kids (and even baby) but the the fathers carelessly smoked in front of them. I don't think I have enough confidence and bravery but I could only tell myself that I shouldn't do that and I hate it! Sigh. The kids...

Okay up to this point today~

Lab report

source: Remind me of Islam
Assalamualaikum

Post ini tiada kaitan dengan buah lemon sebenarnya tetapi just sebagai tempat nak mengadu bahawa lab report yang patut hantar minggu ini tertangguh sebab tak tahu nak cari titrable acidity macam mana. ;__; Sebab teringat lemon tu acidic and we did a lab experiment with acidic juices (ha tu titrable acidity tu ha) so yeah~

By the way, the weather is getting wetter and colder nowadays. It's sunny in the morning but rainy on the afternoon until the night. It's really cold brrr!

Me and the typing

source
(why flickr don't have decent pictures of keyboard tho...)

Assalamualaikum and anneyong

ah it's the third posts for today! And I'm warning you, there're more to come! because I decided to make revisions for my mid-semester tests on Monday in form of typing those facts here. You better be prepared!

Typing Test
the fastest I got is 75 wpm and it was on my friend's laptop

I love typing and I love it with a passion. I type everyday because my subjects need me to spend hours in front of my laptop (uh oh... really?? O.o) .. and socializing too (tetttttt....). Sometimes I prefer typing things out rather than writing it down because I don't want my lecturer to give this advice to me.

er... okay.
I start to really like typing when I was young. It was when my mother installed a typing software in the home pc. I chose the typing with 10 fingers program (my brother chose the typing the numbers program instead) and I start my journey of learning to type with all my fingers instead of the common index-finger-for-letter-A-and-the-rest-are-on-other-fingers typing (I actually don't know what to call it). I remember getting really angry because I couldn't level up from the mistakes I made on the leveling test on the program. So I looked at the keyboard instead of maintaining my gaze towards the screen haha.

So~ let's see on the other posts!

Salam and anneyong :D

Me and the coffee

source
Assalamualaikum & anneyonghaseyo~

Me and coffee. It's my favourite drink and I prefer it to be bitter rather than sweetened and it's better caffeinated than decaffeinated. My favourite drug (yes caffeine can actually be specified as a drug).

Last year, I drank instant coffee 'o (coffee with sugar not milk) on almost every night. Instant coffee is always very sweet and I kinda dislike it. How to reduce it's sweetness? Easy, don't use the boiling water, cool the water a bit and then put the instant coffee powder. The temperature is a bit low and it'll not dissolve all the sugar but it'll precipitated on the bottom of the mug instead. There you are! The less sweetened instant coffee.

I could drink coffee all day long and is this a kind of obsession? An online friend once said caffeine could give you palpitation (racing heart) if it's consumed too much (she's a nurse). Yes, I admit, I once feel anxious because of the side effect of drinking coffee but I can't help it... A day is not complete without a cup of coffee.

How did I start with this addiction?

It's an old story to be honest. My mother was a fan of coffee too but she stopped for years before she drink her coffee again. I'm the eldest child and I'm quite close with my mom. So long story short, I drank my mother's cup of coffee and become a fan too ^^v But it's not my mother's fault really. I could stop my addiction but I can't hehe.

Well~ up to this point~ see you later!

Salam and anneyong ^^

A new start

Jangan buka cerita lama.
Biarkan ia berlalu.
Assalamualaikum & Anneyonghaseyo ~

It's been a year since I've written any post here. A year passed, and I'm now in the second year of my degree course: Food Biotechnology. I'm even changed my hostel outside the campus but still got a better walking experience rather than living inside (yes it's better!)

There are major changes of this blog, mainly the layout. I've changed it from the cheeky styled blog to a simple one, white :) It represents a new start for me and this blog and I'm still have many ideas to revamp my this site. Oh, before I forgot, I've changed the link from 'narutoaddictor' to 'sarahandthefoodbiotech'. It's not easy to change it and I spent almost an hour just to find a decent link. I was intended to use something that korean-ish (haha) but instead, I stick to my image. Me and my course. haha. I just love it :)

Second change is the posts. I might highlight my schedule and interesting events that occur on my day or maybe I just post a rant. keke.

I feel a slight embarrassment looking through my old posts. My old posts remind me of my old pasts. The pasts that filled immaturity. I'll try to be a better person in my writing and thought. I'm already 20, the year who people will not call me as teenager anymore. Like what my mom said to me: 'there's no 'teen' in you anymore. -__-!!!

By the way, the blog that made me firm with my decision for major changes is this blog: click . I was so inspired with her writings and her layout. Yes, her layout, it's tumblr-ish and I really want to know how she incorporated the theme to a blogger template. If you have any idea how, please tell me okay ;____;

Okay, it's up to this point for the time being, see you later :)

(✿◠‿◠)
Salam to yall everyone~~~

It has been a long time since I post something here (and to be honest, I just open blogger for a few times now). Alhamdulillah, my life has been good till now  (≧ω≦) . I'm one of Food Biotechnology students in USIM. I registered here just a mere 2 months ago and this is the first post since I've been here. (I feel so awkward to write a post because my last post is in the August) sigh.

wallpaper 1900x1200. copyright reserved
See? Ahah, I just tried the tutorial here and the result is quite disappointing, but still... I've tried keke. Speaking about USIM, the university held an event called I-inova (Islamic Innovation), an exhibition to promote innovations from high institutions in Malaysia. I participated as an exhibitor to promote my course yesterday. It was very hectic but fun! keke. More information about I-inova'11 here.

Okay, back to my studies... We as first years (or all of students) are compulsory to take part in co-curricular activities and it has credits hour depends on what activity that we enrolled in. I enrolled myself in Red Crescent Society and I need to take 3 credit hours for 3 semesters. Besides Red Crescent, I also joined Debate Club. Last Wednesday was an embarrassing day for me. I delivered my speech with a lot of troubles and it was a mere 10 sentence speech. T.T

So, I have ended my post and I beg to propose (LMAO!)

Facemarks/Emojis

Okay, this gonna be fast. Do you know smiley like this? :) or this :(. Of course you have knew about it right? It's called 1bit smiley, while the facemarks or emojis (like it's name, was invented in Japan, TEH HOME OF INVENTIONS) are 2bit smiley. I'll share some to you what I've found, okay~! Although this emojis are cuter, but as non-Japanese person, typing those japanese fonts are very hard, instead, I copy-paste them, or you can install a javascript on mozilla ( I can't access this because my mozilla is sucks. GOOGLE CHROME FTW).

IDK if some of you can't view this, but since I'm not a tech geek, I don't know how to help LOL.

Resepi ayam perap.

Okay, I've published a recipe on a dessert called "Resepi Puding Roti Jagung". Now, I'll share to all of you a marinated chicken recipe. Pastu korang cakaplah, elehh, setakat perap je. At least, I'm sharing something.

Bahan-bahan

  1. Separuh ayam, (dipotong kecil-kecil)
  2. Bawang besar-2 biji (lagi besar lagi bagus)
  3. Halia-1 inchi
  4. Bawang putih-6 ulas
  5. Serai-2 batang
  6. Lengkuas (xpenah gune lagi, so tataw)
  7. Garam & Gula
  8. Kicap manis
  9. Lada hitam kasar (giant hypermarket ade jual)
Cara-cara
  1. Potong bawang besar, halia, bawang putih, serai dan lengkuas.
  2. Blend semua bahan di atas.
  3. Lumurkan pada ayam, gaul/ramas bagi sekata
  4. Letaklah garam, gula, kicap manis dan lada hitam secukup rasa.
  5. Gaul/ramas sehingga semua bahan tersebut sebati, tambah air kalau rasa macam tak cukup
  6. Simpan dalam peti sejuk at least 1 jam.

“Unlike prayers, charity, and pilgrimage, fasting is an invisible act. Only Allah and the person who is fasting know whether he or she is fasting or not. One may quietly eat or drink something and no one will notice and no one can find out. However, the fasting person has made this commitment for the sake of Allah and he or she wants to guard the purity of his or her fast for the sake of Allah. Fasting thus teaches sincerity, and it helps a person learn to live by the principles of his or her faith regardless whether others know or do not know. This is the very purpose and essence of taqwa.”

Jika saya ada RM50, saya teringin nak kasi cupcakes? nahhh, maybe a very nice picture frame sebagai hadiah besday Nad@MamaZakwan sebab she's basically my cousin :) kekekeke... nope, that's not my biggest intention. The truth is, I thought a picture frame will be good because it can be inserted with her latest birthday pictures with her family members. Look, maybe it's seems like too old to be applicable now, but that's the best way to keep your best memories right???

Dilemma~

salam~

P/s. In case some of the readers are students that want to do Tamhidi (matriculation) programme here, I don't intend to scare you'll. This is just my rants, kay. Thanks for reading!

okay we're now officially ended our lectures for 2nd Semester of Tamhidi for Session 2010/2011.

Like the other matriculation students, we have to choose the course that we want to futher our studies.
But the differences between us (Tamhidi) and matriculation that is, we don't have to compete or struggle to GET into a local university because Tamhidi students are half-university students. We also have given the preparation to study in degree studies, depending on our streams.

Me? I'm a student of Tamhidi of Science and Technology. It's a dilemma for me now to choose the courses provided by the Faculty of Science and Technology. It's hard because, I have no hope to struggle my four years in mathematics courses (Financial Math and Actuarial Science) or engineering courses (Applied Physics and Industrial Chemistry). The remainder? Food Biotechnology (FB) and Computer Science (ISA).

The similarities between them are

  1. I love both of the subjects: Biology and ICT (ops?)
  2. I love to struggle my four years with those subjects

The problem is, if I take Biology, I have to face with Maths and this applicable to ISA too. Then, recently, I just know that ISA is all about Maths! (Yeah, I've read books/articles that most of computer experts are experts in physics and maths) OMG~ haish....it's hard to choose.

Well, as a Muslim, I need to do solat sunat Istikharah and pray to Allah to give me NUR and HIDAYAH  to choose whatever best for me because, there's silver lining behind the clouds.

Now, that's all from me, thank you~

fortunately, with the help of my housemate, we could find the answer :D

the challenge is try to decipher this code!
(this is not a contest, but if you know the answer, please comment!)

[(letter before g)+(Real number)+(sin90)+(elog10)+(unit of force)+(half moon)+(twin of 5)]
[(flag without lag)+(cos90)+(radius of earth)+(image of 3)+(half of diamond)+(5th letter)+(P with 2 legs)]

the answer is nice!

think lost electron

salam

what a hectic week T.T

okay, ya'll must be wondering why I chose that line for my title today.
It's a quote by my friend. The words means THINK POSTIVE!

haha, found this recently.

why we should think lost of electron?
For me, so many things happened in this week. So many problems happened. Sigh.
And a lolwut thing happened today.

Unfortunately, girls' blocks in KKNC depleted its water resourse. OMG!
It's so hard to say about this.
And what's more? I recalled back funny moments in my hostel before.
what there's no water, we have to go to school to take a bath.
What a shame if somebody sees it HAHA.
In my case now, we have to go to deserted blocks
(because the blocks once occupied by the seniors who occupying a new hostel now.

But, what I said before? JUST THINK LOST ELECTRON!

Be optimistic in what happened to you (haha, it should goes to me :D)

IDK bout the SPM Results in my school, but glad that I could chat with my former chemistry teacher :)
sigh, I recalled about having myself placed in the middle of everything.
Couldn't go further, couldn't go back.

Now, that's all from me, thank you :)

english drama

Salam...

on Friday, my tutorial group presented our performance entitled Harry Potter-The Parody. Haha.
Although we had some circumstances before the performance, but alhamdulillah, the performance ended smoothly.

I was in charge in multimedia part of the drama (presentation and background musics), but overall it was... okay-lah (haha manglish alert there)
I was also participated in the acting part itself. I acted as Hagrid (try to imagine Hagrid in the real Harry Potter movie) but actually it was totally different I think :?..,

But sadly, no images/video because there is someone in charge for it. So depends.... arrgh IDK.

PLUS! ( I dun want to double post)
reblogged from seniaku.com

That's all from me thank you! Salam :)
